The Housing Authority of the City of Mercedes has provided quality housing options and supportive services to the citizens of Mercedes since 1952.

The Housing Authority of the City of Mercedes (MHA) is an independent public corporation, funded primarily by the United States Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD). MHA is governed by a five-member Board of Commissioners appointed by the Mayor of the City of Mercedes.
